What You'll Do as a Garage Door Installer

• Install residential garage doors and openers with precision, efficiency, and a focus on quality workmanship.
• Remove existing garage doors and related components safely and efficiently to prepare for new installations.
• Service existing garage doors and openers to keep customers' systems operating safely and reliably.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, minor electrical, and structural issues and complete the necessary repairs.
• Ensure every garage door and opener installation meets safety and operational standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers, answer questions about the work, and collect payment when the job is complete.
• Assist with commercial garage door installations and repairs as needed.
• Maintain your company vehicle, tools, and equipment, and keep accurate records of completed work and materials used.
• Support the team during slower periods by helping in the shop and, when needed, assisting with residential window and door installations.

Our Ideal Garage Door Installer

• Experienced: At least 2 years of experience installing and repairing residential garage doors and a strong working knowledge of garage door systems.
• Skilled: Proficient with hand and power tools, can measure accurately, and know how to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the field.
• Safety-Conscious: Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and scaffolding up to 16-20 feet, lifting 75-80 pounds, and working outdoors in varying conditions.
• Customer-Focused: Communicate clearly, bring a friendly and professional approach to customers' homes, and take pride in delivering excellent service.
• Well-Equipped: You have your own hand tools and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and are comfortable driving a company van with and without a trailer.
• Quality-Minded: Take pride in your craftsmanship, work well independently, and share our commitment to integrity, teamwork, and getting the job done right.
